"A retracting
device for
preheating the
incoming air in
an iron blast
furnace by using
heat from the
burning gases of
the furnace. "
Hot Blast Stoves
consist of the combustion chamber and
checker chamber.
The hot stove is
essentially a heat exchanger with
facility for heat storage) to produce
hot blast blown
through Tuyere into blast furnace.
In the checker
chamber the checker bricks having
numerous gas holes through them are piled up
playing the role to store heat provided
by hot combustion gas.
Three or four
hot stoves installed beside one blast
furnace are usually operated alternately
by the combusting
fuel and in blowing hot blast of 1100 -
1300 deg C. Being exposed to such high
temperature the hot stove
refractories must be sufficiently
durable against compression under high
temperature for long time
showing less deformation as possible.
i.e. they must exhibit good creep
resistance.
General
requirement of hot stove
refractories are:
Volumetric stability
at relatively high temperature
Little residual
shrinkage
Large specific heat
Thermal spalling
resistance
Corrosion resistance
Sino-Global offers bricks & mortars
for the hot stoves to meet all the above
stated requirements based on under the
